abstract | An aqueous, phosphate-containing solution is disclosed to form phosphate layers on metal surfaces containing iron, steel, zinc, zinc alloys, aluminum or aluminum alloys. The solution contains 0.3-5 Zn + / 1 and 0.1-3g nitroguanidine / 1, the S-value is between 0.03-0.3 and the weight ratio of Zn: P2O5 is 1: 5-1: 30.
