The object of the invention is a process for the preparation of an azideid-3-carboxy acid of formula I or of a salt thereof, in which R1-H, C1-6 alkyl, or C3-8 cycloalkyl PHENYL-CH (R3) - IN WHICH R3 = H, PHENYL OR C1-4 ALKYL.
