A compound of formula (1), or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof, wherein V is - (CH2) d (O) e-, -CO- or -CH (C1-C6 alkyl) -; W is -O-, -S (O) a or -N (R1) - R1 is H, C1-C6 alkyl, (CH2) bCOR2, CO (CH2) b NR2R3, SO2R2, (CH2) ) cOR2, (CH2) cNR2R3 or (CH2) b het1; het1 represents a saturated or unsaturated heterocycle of 3 to 8 atoms containing one or more heteroatoms selected from O, N or S, optionally substituted with C1-C6 alkyl substituents; X and Y are independently H, C1-C6 alkyl, halo, OH, CF3, OCF3, OR4; Z is - (CH2) f (O) g, -CO- or -CH (C1-C6) alkyl; ring A represents a saturated tetra- to heptagonal heterocycle containing N, optionally substituted with OH substituents, and wherein, optionally, at least one N atom of the ring is substituted with one O atom; ring B is phenyl or unsaturated tetra- to heptagonal heterocycle containing N, optionally substituted with OH, halo, CN, CONH2, CF3, OCF3 substituents, and wherein, optionally, at least one N atom of the ring is substituted with an O atom; R2 and R3 are independently H, C1-C6 alkyl [optionally substituted with OH, halo, N (C1-C6) alkyloxy) or C1-C6 alkyloxy, C1-C6 alkyloxy, N (alkyl); C1 to C6) 2 or C3 to C8 cycloalkyl; or R2 and R3, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, independently represent a heterocycle of 3 to 8 atoms, optionally substituted with C1-C6 alkyl substituents; R4 represents a straight or branched C1-C6 alkyl group, a and c are independently 0, 1 or 2; b, e and g are independently 0 or 1; d and f are independently 1 or 2; useful in the treatment of dysmenorrhea |
