titleOfInvention Pentosidine: New biomarker involved in the presence and severity of coronary disease
abstract The present invention discloses a novel bio-marker, pentosidine, an advanced glycation product formed as a result of chronic hyperglycemia. The assay of this product was performed by a high performance liquid chromatography technique coupled with tanden mass spectrometry detection of triple quadrupole type (LC-MS / MS). The results show that pentosidine is strongly involved in the development and severity of coronary involvement. The analysis of this bio marker opens new perspectives for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases of diabetes mellitus.
