AN IMPROVED SYSTEM FOR THE LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTION OF PROTEINS AND / OR A-BETA IN CELL CULTURE, PARTICULARLY IN MEANS CHARACTERIZED BY ONE OR MORE THAN: I) A CUMULATIVE CONCENTRATION OF AMINO ACID MORE THAN 70 MM; II) A CUMULATIVE MOLAR GLUTAMINE AT A PROPORTION OF ACCUMULATIVE ASPARAGINE LESS THAN 2; III) A CUMULATIVE MOLARA GLUTAMINE FOR TOTAL CUMULATIVE PROPORTION OF THE AMINO ACID UNDER SOME 0.2; IV) AN ACCUMULATIVE MOLAR INORGANIC ION TO THE TOTAL CUMULATIVE AMINO ACID PROPRTION BETWEEN 0.4 TO 1; OR IS PROPORTIONED V) A COMBINED CUMULATIVE CONCENTRATION OF GLUTAMINE AND ACCUMULATIVE ASPARAGINE BETWEEN ABOUT 16 AND 36 MM. THE USE OF SUCH SYSTEM ALLOWS THE HIGH LEVELS OF A-BETA PRODUCTION AND INCREASES THE ACCUMULATION OF CERTAIN INDESEABLE FACTORS AS AMMONIUM AND / OR LACTATE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CULTURE METHODS THAT INCLUDE A TEMPERATURE CHANGE ARE PROVIDED, TYPICALLY INCLUDING A DECREASE IN THE TEMPERATURE WHEN THE CULTURE HAS ACHIEVED 20-80% OF ITS MAXIMUM CELL DENSITY.
