titleOfInvention Unit for desalinization of aqueous solutions by means of ion exchange
abstract Ion exchange liquid treatment plant The plant, esp. for water, has an automatic, or quasi automatic, transfer system for the ion exchanger granules, by quantity and time division, between the treatment vessel and a regenerator and back. To cope with heavily contaminated water, a separate washer is included in the circuit between the treatment and regenerator vessels and the ion exchanger is subjected to a separate, flushing process before passing to the regenerator, this process lasting for at least one complete operating cycle. The prewashing reduces the hydraulic resistance in the regenerator.
