titleOfInvention Indicator compound for detection of gas leaks
abstract This invention relates to leak testing and can be used to detect a leak of carbon dioxide. The aim of the invention is to improve the reliability of leak detection. The indicator composition contains the following components, wt%: foaming agent - sodium naphthenate 5.0 - 7.0 wt.%, Propellant - difluorodichloromethane 15.0 - 20.0 wt.%, Indicator - fuchsin 0.0012 - 0.0020 wt.%, hydrazine hydrate 0,512 - 0,470 wt.%, isopropyl alcohol 5.0 to 10.0 wt.%, water the rest. When interacting with carbon dioxide, the indicator composition, which has an initial colorless color, acquires a bright crimson color. The presence of colored spots indicates local leaks. 1 tab.
