| abstract | The invention relates to agriculture, in particular to the technology of preparing food from food waste. The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of feed. The method of preparing feed for farm animals includes mixing food waste with feed additives and heat treatment. The mixture was evaporated at a temperature of 140 ° C and a pressure of 3 atm for 45 minutes, then the temperature was maintained at 95 ° C for 45-50 minutes. At the end of the steaming process, the mixture is kept at a temperature of 45-50 ° C for 2-4 hours. This increases the digestibility of the feed. The device for preparing feed for farm animals includes a mixer 16, a collector 20, with which the maturing tanks 13-15 are connected, two parallel lines are connected to the mixer 16, one of which contains a storage unit 1 for food waste, cooking pots 2, block 4 for separation of non-food inclusions, crusher 5 and bunker-settler, and the second contains steamer 12, accumulators of solid 10 and liquid 11 additives, sources of steam and water.
