titleOfInvention | Process for recovering iodine from brine |
abstract | This invention relates to methods for extracting iodine from brine. Before serving, the brine is treated with chlorine, the amount of which is no less than determined by the formula 100 / (p% of theoretically necessary, where p is the coefficient of excess air, and then the rest of chlorine is fed into the desorber. Chlorine can be supplied in four or four with a three-stage chlorine feed before the desorber, 30-50% of the theoretically required amount is introduced into the brine, and 25-30% is fed directly into the desorber, and then the rest of the amount, with a four-stage chlorine feed before the deso 40-60% of chlorine from the theoretically required amount is introduced into the brine, and 25-30%, then 10-15% and then the rest is fed directly into the desorber, and the stripping is carried out with an air excess factor of 2.0-3.5 The invention allows to increase the extraction of iodine by 10-15% and reduce the consumption of chlorine by 15-16%. |
