titleOfInvention | Boron base alloying additive |
abstract | The invention relates to foundry, in particular, to modifier compositions intended for out-of-furnace treatment of gray cupola iron having a temperature of 1250-1310 ° C. The purpose of the invention is to increase the rate of dissolution of the additive and reduce chill on the chill casting. The modifier for low-temperature gray iron contains components in the following ratio, wt%: barium magnesium 1-8; calcium 0.3-5.0; rare earth metals of the cerium group 8-35; aluminum 10-70f iron 0.5-12.0; zinc 0.5-5.0; silicon 8-50. Increasing the rate of assimilation as compared with other low-melting modifiers contributes to an increase in the degree of assimilation and efficiency in removing chill. The modifier reduces the rejectability of the casting during processing and cracking, when overloading products. 2 tab. i (L |
