Fermentation is carried out in the presence of a finely dispersed polymer of polyamide B, polyamide 11 or cyclohexanone-formaldehyde condensation resin at a concentration of 10 g / l of medium. At the same time, both the transformed sterol and the polymer can be introduced into the culture medium at different stages of fermentation both together and separately, and the transformation process is carried out either in a nutrient medium or in phosphate buffer. To obtain the desired product, both one of the sterols and their mixture are used.
