The invention relates to medicine and can be used in the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylarthritis. The purpose of the invention to improve the accuracy of diagnosis. In patients with a lymphocytoxic test, the presence of an HLA-B27 phenotype with the patient's lymphocytes and test serum for this antigen is determined. Then, in the patient's serum, the relative amount of the HLA-B27 antigen in the lymphocytotoxic test was determined by competition with the HLA-B27 lymphocyte antigen of healthy individuals with the HLA-B27 phenotype and if it is equal to or greater than 1500, ankylosing spondylitis is diagnosed.
