abstract | This invention relates to a method for producing organic glass used in the aviation and automotive industries. It allows to obtain an organic copolymer glass with the initial composition of the polymerized mixture, wt.%: Methyl methacrylate (MMA) 65 - 85, methacrylic acid (MAC) 15 - 35, which has improved physicomechanical properties. The polymerization is carried out in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator and a compound of the formula (C 6 H 5 ) 3 MN or MCL 4 , where M is SI, GE, taken in an amount of 1 . 10 -3 - 1 . 10 -2 mol per 1 mol MAC, at 20 - 40 ° C.
