titleOfInvention Method of quantitative determination of ethanol in air
abstract The invention relates to analytical chemistry, in particular to the quantitative determination of ethanol in air. The purpose of the invention is to increase the sensitivity and accuracy of determination. The determination is carried out by passing the analyzed air through an absorption solution containing a mixture of fuchsulfuric acid, 0.70 - 0.75% HCl solution and glycerin, taken in a volume ratio (0.9-1.1): 1: (0.25 - 0.3) followed by photometry of the resulting solution. The absorption solution additionally contains sodium sulfite or sodium acetate at a volume ratio of fuchsin-sulphurous acid, 0.7 - 0.75% aqueous solution of HCl, glycerin and 0.1 n. a solution of sulfite or sodium acetate, equal to (0.9-1, 1): 1: (0.25- -0.3) :( 0.08-0.12). The method allows to increase the accuracy of determination by 3-4 times and sensitivity 4 times. 4 tab.
