titleOfInvention Hydrophobic dust-trapping composition
abstract The invention relates to compositions for the wet collection of fine hydrophobic dust and can be used in the mining, metallurgical and chemical industries. The aim of the invention is to reduce the wetting time of hydrophobic dust particles and increase the efficiency of their capture in wet dust collectors. The purpose of the invention is achieved by mixing 0.01-2.5% by weight of polyethylene glycol alkyl esters, 0.1-20% by weight of mono-, di- or triethylene glycol, 0.05-0.1% by weight of sulphate iron or sodium carbonate, the rest is water. The composition makes it possible to increase the efficiency of trapping finely divided hydrophobic dust from trifoline and neozone by 3–33% and to reduce the wetting time of hydrophobic particles by 4–29 s compared to the known, 1 table.
