titleOfInvention Method of producing methnorepinephrine
abstract The invention relates to reagents for medical diagnostics, in particular the preparation of metraradrenaline for the determination of catecholamines in the blood. The goal is to increase the yield of the target product and simplify the process. The latter is carried out by the reaction of condensation of nitromethan with benzyl vanillin in an alkaline medium, followed by reduction of the obtained product using ammonium formate or methyl ammonium in the presence of a palladium on carbon catalyst. In this case, the condensation is carried out in the presence of tetrabutylammonium, and the catalyst is introduced into the reaction mass after mixing the reagents. Conditions increase the yield of the target product by 40% with the exception of the stage of purification of the intermediate nitro alcohol. (L
