titleOfInvention Method of analyzing oxygen in solid substances
abstract The invention relates to physicochemical methods of analysis and can be used to control ultrapure optical materials based on alkaline earth metal fluoride single crystals (alkaline earth metals). The aim of the invention is to increase the sensitivity and reproducibility of the method for determining oxygen in alkaline earth metals. When oxygen dissolves during the growth of alkali-fluoride fluoride crystals, an equal amount of 0 2- ions and a charge of compensating anion vacancies are formed. These gels dissolve in single crystal fluoride alkaline earth metals in the temperature range of 600–700 ° C. Thus, the sample is saturated with gels, the sample is subsequently heated in the mass spectrometer chamber, and the oxygen content in alkaline alkaline fluorine crystal is determined. The method makes it possible to increase the sensitivity in the determination of oxygen by three orders of magnitude and to improve the reproducibility of the analysis results by a factor of 2-3.
