titleOfInvention Method of determining hydroperoxides of lipides in blood
abstract This invention relates to clinical biochemistry and can be used in scientific research. The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy of the method. The method consists in treating plasma and erythrocytes with antioxidant ionol, iron trichloride, thiobarbituric acid and sodium dodecyl sulfate in 0.44 M hydrochloric acid buffer pH 3.6. The incubation is carried out for 30-60 minutes at 90-92 ° C, then the colored compound is extracted with a mixture of glacial acetic acid and chloroform and the optical density is determined at 532-534 nm. The method improves the accuracy of the method by forming a stable colored complex of hydroperoxides with thiobarbituric acid.
