titleOfInvention | Method of producing 2-methylsubstituted aldehydes |
abstract | The invention relates to the field of carbonyl compounds, in particular to the preparation of 2-methyl-substituted aldehydes, which are used in organic synthesis. The goal is to simplify the process. The preparation is carried out by the reaction of the corresponding alcohol f-ly R-CH 2CH 2OH, where RC is 1-C 12-alkyl or isoalkyl or aralkyl, and methanol at a molar ratio of 1: (4-16) or alcohol and methyl formate at a molar ratio of 1: (2-8), 330-430 ° C and a catalyst - zinc oxide with chromium oxide or with oxides of copper and aluminum, or with oxides of chromium, copper and aluminum. The method allows to simplify the process by maintaining in one stage (against two in the known method), to eliminate the use of sodium methylate, and also to increase the productivity to 0.61 kg / dm 3.h against 0.0166 kg / dm 3.h for methylnonyl acetaldehyde . The yield of the target product is 25–40%, based on the alcohol taken. 2 tab. |
