titleOfInvention Method of reconditioning splined shafts and tool for effecting same
abstract The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in the treatment of the external surfaces of rotation bodies of a complex profile. The purpose of the invention is to increase the productivity of the process of restoring the splined shafts and saving metal. The method of restoring the splined shafts involves the overlaying of metal over the outer cylindrical surface of the splines. The axis of symmetry of the weld metal volume is shifted from the axis of symmetry of the slot towards the worn side surface. The magnitude of the displacement is determined from the calculated dependence. Then the splined shaft is pulled through a deforming tool with the distribution of the deposited metal volume over the entire surface of the slot. The tool includes a housing with a central cylindrical bore and with grooves in which deforming inserts are installed. In this case, the deforming inserts are fixed around the circumference of the housing bore. The axis of symmetry of the deforming insert coincides with the axis of symmetry of the splines. The deforming inserts are mounted in the slots of the casing with a tension. 2 sp.f-ly, 4 Il.
