abstract The invention relates to medicine, namely to neuro-ophthalmology, neurosurgery, and can be used in the treatment of patients with lesions of the optic nerves of various origins. The aim of the invention is to improve the accuracy. The essence of the method is that during the first 5-7 days after the electrodes are inserted into the optic nerves, the local blood flow of the optic nerves is measured before and after the metered inhalation load with carbon dioxide, the coefficient of reactivity of their vessels is determined and at K p-1.3 and more predict a favorable outcome. The method unambiguously provides a high accuracy of the prognosis of the outcome of treatment and makes it possible to identify patients for whom conduction of electrical stimulation is unsuccessful.
