abstract | This invention relates to medicine, in particular to experimental cardiology. The goal is to improve the accuracy of calcium metabolism. The goal is achieved by administering radioactive calcium to the animal, then, after 24 hours, norepinephrine is injected under the skin. Then, the heart muscle is removed from the anesthetized animal, and the total calcium content and the amount of radioactive calcium are determined. Next, the specific radioactivity is calculated, by which the calcium metabolism in the myocardium is judged. The method allows to more accurately determine the fixed calcium in the muscle of the heart. |
