abstract The invention relates to heterocyclic substances, in particular the production of pyrazine used in the manufacture of medicinal substances, insecticides, dyes and flavorings. The goal is to increase output and simplify the process. The latter is carried out by dehydrogenation of piperazine at 370-400 ° C with its vapor being supplied in a stream of carrier gas (H 2 , N 2 ), in 7-8-fold molar excess, in the presence of a catalyst containing 0.4-0, 6 wt.% Platinum and 2-3 wt.% JNO 3 on the carrier - AL 2 O 3 . These conditions make it possible to achieve a 70-76% yield of pyrazine and simplify the process by using vaporous piperazine, whose high elasticity makes it possible to supply it in large quantities per unit time. 1 il.
