titleOfInvention Dew-point hygrometer
abstract The invention relates to measurement technology and instrument making and can be used in various industries. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of measurements and increase speed. The hygrometer contains an illuminator connected by means of a fiber light guide to a prism of introducing a stream of light into a plane-parallel plate, one of the planes in contact with a cooling device connected to a temperature sensor, a prism connected by a fiber light guide to a photodetector, a generator of electromagnetic ultra-high frequency oscillations, a threshold-amplifying device. The stream of light produced by the illuminator is brought through a fiber light guide and a prism to a plane-parallel plate, in which it propagates by means of total internal reflections, after which it is recorded by a photodetector. When water drops form on the surface of a plane-parallel plate, the condition of total internal reflection at the plate-moisture boundary is disturbed, as a result of which the signal on the photodetector changes. The difference between the signals produced by the photoreceiver and the source of the reference signal is amplified by a threshold-amplifying device and forming a command to turn on the electromagnetic high frequency oscillator, which creates conditions for the energy interaction of the electromagnetic oscillations with moisture molecules, resulting in the generation of heat and evaporation of the moisture formed. 1 il.
