titleOfInvention | Modulation radiometer for measuring noise signals |
abstract | The invention can be used to measure the power of a weak radio emission of a noise nature in radio astronomy, national economy and medicine. The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy and automate the measurement process - achieved by reducing losses in the input path and introducing programmable control unit 14 and switching unit 15. In the device, the input noise signal is connected through the first controlled attenuator 1, the circulator 2, the first valve 5, the mixer 6, the intermediate frequency amplifier 9, the quadratic detector 10, the low frequency amplifier 11 and the synchronous detector 12 to the recording unit 13. The calibration is carried out The signal from the noise generator 4, which through the second controlled attenuator is connected to the second input of the circulator 2. The device synchronization is provided by the reference voltage generator 16, the corresponding outputs of which connected to inputs of synchronous detector 12 and the switching unit 15. When a signal arriving from the antenna is received, the first controlled attenuator 1 operates in the modulator mode and the second prohibition. When calibrating the radiometer in the modulator mode, the second controlled attenuator 3 is operated, and the first is locked. 1 il. |
