titleOfInvention | Arrangement for removing the reinforcing circumferential welds |
abstract | The invention relates to metal cutting. The aim of the invention is to improve the quality when treating the inner surface of pipes due to the increased vibration resistance of the system and the removal of reinforcement welds without touching the base metal. Boring bar with rotary calipers carrying cutter 4, located between copier rollers 2 and 3, on frame 11, which is enclosed in cup 9, is inserted inside the treated pipe before the rollers come into contact with its surface. As the boring bar rotates, the rollers roll around the inner surface of the pipe, and the cutter, using a nut 11 and a screw 8 driven by a gear pair, cuts off the reinforcement of the weld. 2 Il. |
