abstract This invention relates to ophthalmology. To reduce complications in the treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy, two-stage laser coagulation of the retina is performed with the barrage of the retinal macular region in the first stage and peripheral coagulation in the second. The coagulation of the periphery of the retina begins from the dentate line and is applied in a spiral towards the posterior pole.
