titleOfInvention METHOD OF OBTAINING VANILIN
abstract The invention relates to carbonyl compounds, in particular the production of vanillin, which is used in the food and perfume industry. The purpose of the invention to increase the yield of the target product and simplify the process. Vanillin is obtained by condensation of guaiacol with formaldehyde in the presence of p-nitrosodimethylaniline and copper sulfate catalyst in an acidic water-propanol solution. Vanillin from the reaction mass after condensation of guaiacol and formaldehyde in the presence of p-nitrosodimethylaniline in a water-isopropanol solution is recovered as a precipitate of vanilidene p-dimethylaniline dihydrochloride. To form the latter, a water-acid solution of p-dimethylaminoaniline dihydrochloride is loaded into the mass, the precipitate is filtered, dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid, vanillin is extracted from the resulting solution with an organic solvent (for example benzene) dimethylaminoaniline, sent for the precipitation of the azomethine salt in a subsequent operation. The output of 75.8% 1 table.
