titleOfInvention Method of diagnosing urosepsis
abstract This invention relates to clinical medicine, primarily to the diagnosis of sepsis. The aim of the invention is to reduce the time and improve the accuracy of diagnosis. The goal is achieved by determining the total concentration of spermine, spermidine, and putrescine by the spectrophotometric method in the blood and, when it is increased to 45 µg or more, urosepsis is diagnosed. The specificity of increasing the concentration of polyamines in the blood in sepsis was proved by the fact that 10 hours after infection of the preserved blood with bacteria strains isolated from patients with sepsis, an increase in the total concentration of polyamines was noted by 3.5 times compared with the norm.
