abstract This invention relates to catalytic chemistry, in particular to a catalytic composition for the dimerization of lower olefins used in the production of butadiene and isoprene, rubbers, varnishes, alcohols. In order to increase productivity, the composition has the following content of components, wt%: nickel compound 0.24-0.62, activating additive 26.25-43.88n n n alkyl aluminum chloride of the formula RNALCL 3 -N, where 1) R is C 1 -C 4 alkyl, N = 1n n n 1.5n n n 2) 55.50-73.51. The nickel compound used is dithiocarbamates or nickel dithiophosphates of the formula @, where R is the carbamate CN (R 1 ) (R 2 ) or @ phosphate group, and R 1 and R 2 alkyl C 1 -C 2 , cycloalkyl C 5 -C 6 phenyl. The activating additive is a mixture of a phosphorus-containing compound of the formula PR 3 , where RC 6 H 5 -OC 6 H 5 -OCH 3 C 6 N 4 and the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon, styrene or-methylstyrene, taken in a molar ratio of 1: 1 - 50. The performance of the composition is 99.8 kg per 1 g of NI / R in the reaction of propylene dimerization / against 23.4 kg per 1 g of NI /. 1 tab.
