abstract This invention relates to histology. The purpose of the invention is the differentiation of muscle and connective tissue. Paraffin tissue sections are dewaxed. The clarified sections are stained at pH 1.0-3.5 with the composition containing the barium salt of bis- 1- (4-sulfophenyl) -3-carboxypyrizolone-5-trimetinoxanine, picric acid and distilled water.
