titleOfInvention Method of quantitative analysis of phytin in vegetable fodder
abstract This invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used to determine phytin in vegetable feed by liquid chromatography. The purpose of the invention is to increase the sensitivity and reduce the analysis time. Phytin is extracted from vegetable feeds with hydrochloric acid and the extract is separated from the insoluble precipitate by centrifugation. The extract obtained is passed through a chromatographic column with a strongly acid component containing 0.1–1 mg-eq of iron in 1 g of cation exchanger. A 0.4-0.8 M solution of hydrochloric acid is used as eluent.
