titleOfInvention Method of quantitative analysis of dialkylsulfides
abstract This invention relates to analytical chemistry, in particular to the quantitative determination of dialkyl sulfides in petroleum, fuels, and oils. The goal is to increase the selectivity and sensitivity of the method. The determination is carried out by dissolving the analyzed sample in an incompletely chlorinated hydrocarbon, by adding a chemical reagent — a mixture of sodium picrate and silver nitrate, containing 0.01–0.1 mol / l picrate ions and 0.025–0.1 mol / l silver ions. The treatment is carried out at a pH of 5-8, the organic layer is separated, filtered and the filtrate is photometered. The method allows reducing the limit of sulphide detection (defined interval 10) by almost two orders of magnitude, increasing the selectivity, since it does not: other classes interfere (with the exception of mercaptans). The determination time does not exceed 10 minutes. 2 tab. (L with
