abstract The invention relates to lubricant compositions for the machining of metals, in particular when threading or setting. To increase the tool life, the lubricant contains:% calcium sulfate 1-5; succinimide additive 0.5 to 1.5; polyisobutylene or polypropylene 1-10; sodium or potassium tetraborate 0.5-5; treatment product at 155-165 C of tall oil with triethanolamine (mass ratio 2: 1) 10-40; deer-acid sodium or potassium 0.05-0.8; stearic acid - the rest. This lubricant increases the durability of, for example, thread markers from 12.7 to 17 minutes and reduces the friction coefficient from 0.45 to 0.027-0.031. 2 tab. o (o
