titleOfInvention Method of producing alkali
abstract The invention relates to the electrolytic production of alkalis and makes it possible to reduce the cost of the process by eliminating the use of scarce materials. In this method, the alkali is obtained by electrolysis of an alkali metal carbonate solution in a cell with two asbestos-based filtering diaphragms located between the anode and the cathode. A solution of -98, chi and itineosis and an alkali metal carbonate dienvor are fed into the interdiafragment space and it is filtered through the diaphragm nearest to the anode and through the cathode diaphragm to the cathode. The depleted anolyte in the form of a mixed solution of basic and acid carbonate salts of an alkali metal is removed from the anode space. Electrolytic alkali is removed from the cathode space — a mixed solution of alkali and alkali metal carbonate. Oxygen is released at the anode; anode gas contains oxygen and carbon dioxide. Hydrogen is released at the cathode. The process is conducted in such a way that the concentration of the obtained alkali is maintained within 0.9-2.5 g-eq / l, and the anolyte contains a total of 2.2-4.0 g-eq / l Ma2CO3 + NaHCOs or 1.4 -8.0 g-eq / l К2СОз + КНСОз. 1 3. p.
