abstract The invention relates to the production of metal-free oil porphyrins by the demetaplication of their vanadyl complexes, which can be used to produce alkyl, monocycloalkyl, monobenzomonocycloalkyl porphyrins. The process of demetallization is carried out with zinc dust at its mass ratio with the initial complex (1–5): 1 for 20–30 min in CHjCOOH medium at the boiling of the latter. The yield of the desired product is obtained 2 times higher than that known in terms of the duration of the process from 5 hours to 30 minutes (without using inert gas and NBg) and the number of operations. 2 tabl,
