abstract For the early detection of hypoxic form of nephropathy in urine, the isozyme spectrum of esterases is investigated using naphthylacetate as a substrate. Their electrophoretic mobility relative to bromophenol blue is determined. When isoenzymes with electrophoretic mobility appear to be 0.25 or less, the disease is diagnosed.
