titleOfInvention | Method of controlling squamula-ptery leaf miners, mainly american white lepidoptera hyphantria cunea drury |
abstract | The invention relates to a rural household and makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of the fight against leaf-eating lepidopteran insects, predominantly with the American white butterfly Hyphantria cunea Drury, without at the same time leading to a negative impact on household beneficial insects. Plants afflicted with a caterpillar of 11 ages are treated with an aqueous suspension of essential oils, injected from natural populations of blue-green algae with a predominance of Microcystis aeruginosa, and the content of the mixture of essential oils in the suspension should not be less than 0.01%. It has been found that in the mixture of essential oils the main active principle is linalool and linoyl acetate, the mixture of which, suspended in water at a concentration of 0.002%, after 5 and; 10 days after the treatment of the plants, 56.7% and 100% of the caterpillars 11 years of age of the American white butterfly, respectively, die. A significantly less pronounced effect on these insects is 0.002% suspensions of terpineol and phenylethyl alcohol, and only 13.3% and 22.7% of larvae died on the 10th day after treatment of the plants, respectively, and on the 20th day - respectively 73.3 and 77.3%. It has been shown that the effectiveness of the blend of essential oils depends on the method of drying of the seston of the natural population of algae and on the method of separating the mixture of essential oils from it. 1 tab. & (L 00 00 co 4; |
