NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formulaI[R is OH, halogen, a group shown by the formula II (R1 and R2 are H, lower alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or 5-10C cycloalkyl; R1 and R2 may be linked each other to form 3-20C alkylene)]. USE:An antibacterial agent against Gram-negative bacteria. PROCESS:For example, 4'-deoxy mycaminosyl tylonolide shown by the formula III is reacted with rhodium chlorotris (triphenylphosphine) shown by the formula [(C6H5)P]3RH in an organic solvent such as benzene, toluene, etc. at room temperature - under heating, preferably in a nitrogen flow, to give a compound wherein R in the formulaI is OH. |
