A method for determining the concentration of physiologically active cations in the blood by recording electrical signals using an electrode system, characterized in that, in order to increase the sensitivity and acceleration of the method in the electrode system, each electrode is provided with a liquid membrane, while the membrane is composed of from O, 1–4.0% solution of potassium salt of Vnshinomycin in 1.2 dichloroethane, for determination of sodium ions from 0.5–7.5% solution of sodium salt of gramicidin A in chlorobenzene, for determination of calcium ions and from a 4–18% solution of the calcium salt of heptylphosphonic acid eoamyl ester in toluene, for the determination of acmonium from O, a 5–12% solution of the ammonium salt of tetranactine in 1,2-dichloroethane.
