titleOfInvention A method of blasting a surface of a concrete product and an apparatus for performing it
abstract The nozzle (5) of the device is slidably disposed above the working surface (6), and has the possibility to move in both directions in a plane parallel to the working surface (6). The nozzle (5) is connected to a thermobox with a hose and a pipe, preferably with dry ice (1), which is conveyed to the nozzle (5) by compressed air. The device includes a conveyor (7) for placing the concrete product (2) on the working surface (6). Ice particles with a temperature below -30 ° C are cast on the surface of the concrete product (2). Dry ice (1) sublimes when blasting, increases its volume several times, cools the surface of the concrete product (2), which, together with the impact, causes peeling of small concrete particles. Preferably, dry ice (1) is used in the form of granules, pellets up to 5 mm in size, usually 3 mm in size. It is preferred that the surface of the concrete product (2) is jetted 18 to 24 hours after the solidification of the concrete mixture begins, i.e., after filling the mold.
