abstract The invention relates to a device (1) for measuring moisture in pressurized molds (24), the mold cavity (25) of which is connected to a venting device (28) via a vent line (31). The device (1) is connectable to the vent line (31) and comprises a sensor arrangement (S) by means of which the moisture in the gases exhausted from the mold cavity (25) is measurable. The sensor arrangement (S) comprises as a component a transmitter (7), LEDs (9,16) and a receiver (14). The emitter (7) comprises at least three LEDs (9) emitting electromagnetic radiation and the receiver (14) comprises a corresponding number of LEDs (16) emitting electromagnetic radiation, the LEDs (9,16) being arranged spaced along the channel cross section ( 5). In the method of measuring moisture in the pressure molds (24) by means of the device (1), the cavity (25) of the pressure mold (24) is forcibly vented by means of the venting line (31). During this deaeration, the water content of the gas flowing through the deaeration line (31) is measured by means of the device (1).
