titleOfInvention | A method for protecting buildings and objects from dynamic base acceleration forces, e.g. earthquake, and equipment to carry it out |
abstract | The invention relates to a system for protecting buildings and objects from earthquake which is fully resistant to seismic activity. The method according to the invention provides for the isolated storage and support of buildings and other objects from the oscillating base (1) on the antiseismic modules (56) based on a virtual pendulum (Pv). Despite the relatively low physical height of buildings, respectively. supporting elements formed as coupled stable and unstable pendulums, the anti-seismic module behaves as a pendulum (Pv) of a large virtual arm length (Iv) with a long period of oscillation, thereby effectively supporting the supported object (1) from multiple vibrations of the subsoil higher frequency. The operation of this system is not affected by the rate of foundation acceleration or the frequency of subsoil vibration. The building remains calm even in the event of a major earthquake. The system can be designed for any load and conceivable vibration range. The invention describes 4 different examples of devices for carrying out the method according to the invention, in a number of variants, including devices which provide additional compensation for wind force and centering of the object on which the wind acts and has a oscillating base. vertical oscillation of the subsoil. |
