Disclosed is the use of a CD40: CD154 debonding agent to alleviate the severity of an exogenous protein inhibition syndrome in a subject afflicted with or at risk of the syndrome, wherein a) the CD40 debonding agent: CD154 is a monoclonal antibody with antigen specific binding characteristics of 5c8 antibody generated by AT16 109; b) the exogenous protein is Factor IX; (c) the subject is a human; and (d) the subject is a hemophiliac. |
