abstract The pellet comprises (a) a centrally rounded or spherical core (b), a water-soluble polymer and itraconazole coating film and (c) a coating layer of the sealing polymer, the core having a diameter of 250 to 355 µm. Process for preparing these pellets, comprising: a) coating 250 to 355 µm of a sugar bead by spraying a solution of itraconazole and a water-soluble polymer in an organic solvent consisting of methylene chloride and ethanol in a fluid bed granulator equipped with a Wurster insert b) drying the coated cores obtained by coating; and c) drying the cores by coating by spraying onto them a solution of the sealing coating polymer in an organic solvent consisting of methylene chloride and ethanol in a fluid bed granulator equipped with a Wurster bottom spray insert. Also described is a pharmaceutical dosage form comprising a fungicidally effective amount of such pellets.
