abstract Disclosed are 5-phenyl-3- (piperidin-4-yl) -1,3,4-oxadiazol-2 (3H) -one derivatives of general formula (I) wherein R 1 is (C 1 -C 4) -alkyl or (C3-C7) -cycloalkylmethyl, X1 is hydrogen or halogen, or (C1-C4) -alkoxy, or OR1 and X1 together represent -OCH2O-, -O (CH2) 2-, -O (CH2) 3- , -O (CH2) 2O- or -O (CH2) 3O-, X2 is hydrogen or amino, X3 is hydrogen or halogen and R2 is hydrogen or optionally substituted (C1-C6) -alkyl, or phenyl- (C1-C4) ) alkyl, optionally substituted on the phenyl ring, or phenyl- (C2-C3) -alkenyl, or phenoxy- (C2-C4) -alkyl, or (C3-C7) -cycloalkylmethyl, or 2,3-dihydro-1H- inden-1-yl, or 2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl, or a group of the general formula - (CH 2) n CO-Z, wherein n is a number from 1 to 6 and Z is piperidin-1-yl or 4- (dimethylamino) piperidin-1-yl, which can be used for treatment.
