titleOfInvention STREPTOMYCES CLAVULIGERUS CCM 4628 MICRO-ORGANISM STORAGE BETALACTACTASE ACID ACID ACID
abstract A method for obtaining a novel industrially useful strain of Streptomyces clavuligerus CCM 4628 capable of producing clavulanic acid which is a beta-lactamase deactivator is described. Its amtimicrobial effect is insignificant, but its therapeutic value is due to its strong synergistic effect in the cobmination with antibiotic-pencilines and cephalosporins for antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This strain has the necessary stability and its ability to form clavulanic acid is demonstrably higher than that of the parent parental strain. In the breeding, UV radiation was used as a mutagenic factor
