abstract | A catalyst for (co)polymerisation of ethylene consists of: a solid component which comprises 50-90 percent by weight of silicon dioxide with the particle size ranging from 10 to 100 um, with the surface ranging from 250 to 400 m2/g, with the pore volume ranging from 1.3 to 1.8 ml/g, and with a pore's mean diameter 30 nm and 50-10 percent of a catalytically active portion including titanium, magnesium, chlorine and alkoxy groups with 1-5 carbons in a titanium-to-magnesium-to-chlorine molar ratio that is 1 : (0.2-5.0) : (2-14); and of cocatalyst which is organometallic compound of aluminium selected from the group containing trialkyls of aluminium and aluminium alkyl halogenides containing 1-5 carbons in the alkyl portion providing than aluminium (in the cocatalyst)-to-titanium (in the solid catalyst portion) atom ratio is from 20 : 1 to 250 : 1. The method wherein the solid is obtained comprises: suspending particles of silicon dioxide in a solution of magnesium chloride and titanium tetraalcoholate in a liquid aliphatic acid ester; ester evaporating followed by reaction of particles with inserted complex compound with alkyl aluminium chloride at a temperature ranging from 10 to 100 degrees Celsius, during 10 minutes to 24 hours; and recovering of the solid. |
