abstract |
Disclosed is a purified and isolated polynucleotide sequences encoding human protocadherins pc3 by amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 110 or its polypeptide analog wherein one or more of the specified amino acids is deleted or replaced or wherein one or more non-naturally encoded amino acids are added without loss, and preferably with enhancement, of one or more of the biological activities or immunological characteristics specific for a protocadherin pc3, or with specific disablement of a particular ligand/antiligand binding function; the protocadherin; biologically active DNA vectors comprising the defined DNA sequence; vector; host cell transformed or transfected with the said DNA sequence allowing the expression of protocadherin polypeptides in the cells ; method for producing said peptide; antibody substances specific for the human protocadherin pc3, especially monoclonal antibody; hybridoma cell line producing monoclonal antibodies; and a method for modulating binding activity of said human protocadherin pc3. |
