abstract | The invention concerns a method for preparing multifunctionalised polyorganosiloxanes (POS) comprising siloxyl units alkoxyl functional and siloxyl units each including a SH function, consisting in introducing the SH function by reacting H2S on a precursor POS of formula: A-(RXSiO)a-(RYSiO)b-B in which R is in particular a C1-C6 alkyl radical, X is a C1-C15 alkoxyl radical, Y is an ethylenically unsaturated C2-C30 hydrocarbon group from which is derived the SH functionality, a is a number from 1 to 150, b is a number from 1 to 150, the number a + b from 2 to 300 and A and B are terminal groups which are respectively selected in particular among the (R)3SiO- radicals on their own or mixed with the (R)2XSiO- and/or R(X)2SiO- and/or (X)3SiO- radicals and the -Si(R)3 radicals on their own or mixed with the -SiX(R)2 and/or Si(X)2R, and/or -Si(X)3 radicals. The resulting multifunctionalised POS are used in particular as coupling agent for white-elastomer filler in natural or synthetic elastomer compositions comprising a white filler, in particular a siliceous substance, as reinforcing filler for manufacturing articles made in elastomer. |
